the only thing i might change is the retail cpu if oc get the oem version back in and i will then chuck in a artic freezer 7 pro?

or do you think the retail cpu is fine ?

cheers :)

Yeah looks alrite, but nothing is future proof I'm afraid.

I don't have personal experience overclocking with the reference Intel cooler, but an AC7 would be fine.

Yes, it will never get old :D

Its a good spec, but there is no such thing as future proof, only degrees of future resistance ;)

Most importantly, you have 2GB of RAM and a DX10 graphics card, which will mean it is unlikely you will 'need' to upgrade again for a while.

ok thanks , yeah when i said future proof i just meant will it be easy to upgrade if need be?

is all of the above compaitable and if i was to order , is it best to order a part at a time or the whole thing as i dont want a lorry load at my front door :D ?

cheers

It should be, LGA775 will be around for a while and you can always upgrade the RAM and PCI-E graphics card easily.

Unless you want to pay loads of postage order it as one, it is also easier for OCUK to process then and if your nice to the Citylink Guy/Girl i.e. give him/her tea and biscuits he/she might help you bring the stuff in. ;)

oh sorry one more thing that corsair 520w is slightly cheaper than the ocz psu so i might get the corsair will that still fit in my case or are they all standard?

cheers

PSUs are generally a standard size although some are longer than others, the Corsair certainly is of standard size so will fit into any ordinary ATX case such as the Lian-Li. :)

thanks

that western digital harddrive is that good as ive heard the samsung spinpoint are good too?

but if that western digital is fine for my setup that will do as i dont keep loads of files on my pc anyway so 160gig is plenty?

i just thought i could upgrade the hd as im not getting the mouse so thats minus £20 so i might be able to get a better hd keeping it under my budget?

The spinpoints are quite but performance wise aren't as good as the WD.

Get as much space as you can afford.

Perfectly possible, have a look at other WD's.
