So I was meant to build a PC over a year ago but decided not to as my laptop was still pretty good and I wasn't really into PC gaming as I was addicted to my Xbox 360. So now the time has come where I really need a new PC for gaming which should last me the next few years. I have been stalking a lot of the threads where people spec others and I believe I have learnt quite a bit :D

So the budget is actually £1100 just the tower and all its components. I know I've gone over a bit but that's fine. I will be buying all the other stuff throughout the next month.

So here is the spec which I've come down to:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-BK - Devil's Canyon Core i7 4790K CPU & Motherboard Bundle **£35 Saving** £356.98
1 x Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Vapor-X OC 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card (11227-04-40G) £329.99
1 x Phanteks Enthoo Luxe Full Tower Case - Black £119.99
1 x SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 850W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply - Black £99.95
1 x Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-Bit DVD - OEM (WN7-00614) £74.99
1 x Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black/Red (HX24C11BRK2/8-OC) £67.99
1 x Seagate SSHD 7200RPM 3.5" 1TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST1000DX001) SSHD Hybrid Drive £58.99
Total : £1,125.37 (includes shipping : £13.75).

Would like some feedback to see if all this will work. I did originally want to go with a black and blue theme but decided to pass on that. I am hoping to order the stuff within the next week. However I don't know when the Enthoo Luxe will be released. I was thinking about getting the Pro for now and upgrading later. Also, I am planning on getting a large SSD soon but not now. I won't be overclocking for now until I learn how to on a cheaper build, will probably get the Pentium K and play with that. I would also like the build to be silent and am wondering if I should invest in a heatsink/ fans. Another thing, have I made the right choice in going with Windows 8?

Would also like to take this time and ask if it's possible to change my forum name.

but id go ssd 1st anything else would really slow that cpu down
dont mean to screw with ur budget :(

Is it possible to change the motherboard in the bundle? I would like to go with a plain black one if possible. I could give up the cooler which you specced and it will be all good :)

To be more specific, this is the motherboard I would like to have: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-503-GI

but 2 is pretty nice too, i need another new 1 myself soon!
if you need to clean install windows you can just move stuff over from 1 to the other
they so handy to have ><

Hehe, I'll be getting an SSD for sure :) probably get a 120gb for now and upgrade it when I can.

yeh 120gb is ok for windows and a few games

Sorry I just seem to be hooked on getting the Vapor-X :D Quite a bit over budget, but it's fine as long as I know I'm getting my money worth.

I will try and see if the motherboard in the bundle can possibly be changed to:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-BK Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard £131.99
Total : £141.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

Well, thank you to everyone for their input, much appreciated :) Will be buying this within the next week most likely.
