just installed smartfan and it says my cpu temperature is at 51c, that seems hot to me,

with an internal temp of 56c

is that too hot, obviously these shuttles will be hotter than most, but hmm?

it is in a little shuttle though, i take it that's the difference then ...

not tried overclocking, but at these temps i best not:(

fans seem to be working fine, bet their set to quiet mode... will restart and let you know:)

just before... in speed fan it has seperate readings for the cores of about 30 each... is that where i should have been looking rather than ... the cpu reading?

just went into bios, put it on low fan speed instead of ultra low and the temps went down to 45c idle ...

dont wanna keeep it like this though because it's too load of me ....

reckon i need to buy some silent fans? or do you think it's the way i installed the cpu? i.e put too much thermal paste on etc?

i put a thin layer all over it, that wrong?

hmmm, maybe i installed it wrong .. might try putting it in again...

what's the best way to clean paste off?

can you have a look over at my other post on cpu, cpu-z is giving my core clock speed at 1600mhz and 6x multi?

but above says e6600 @2.4ghz?
