if gibbo or someone could confirm this then it would set me straight to order this card.
. If you buy a card not pre clocked and keep it at stock, you're fine!Cyber-Mav said:no it was posted here before that all 7900 cards are defective since nvida used some cheapo components to make the boards or something.

I suppose I will see on tuesday when i put my new system together..Gibbo said:I've never heard so much rubbish in all honesty.
NVIDIA a huge multi-million if not billion pound company cutting corners, I certainly don't think so.
NVIDIA will have huge amounts of money invested into R&D to create a good stable product and will then manufactur it, they will not cut corners as cutting corners does not make you money it ends up biting you in the ass.
We build a lot of systems with 7900 GTs and they are fine. We also sell plenty of 7900 GT's in fact its one of the best selling cards and their return/failure rate is nothing out of the ordinary compared to any other card.

I clock mine, just only have it there when I'm actually in need of the extra power. Even FEAR will run fine on medium - high settings at stock, and unless I'm benching thats where it stays.sablabra said:PinkFloyd is right about those who do NOT overclock .
