Is it just me or does the TWOD section not really look like having any real discounted deals?

Just a list of what is for sale in the website elsewhere? I looked down the first 2 pages (didn't bother looking longer) and none of the deals were reduced, just highlighted items and regular for sale items. Bit of a con no? What happened to actually getting deals in TWOD section? At least show what the price was before it appeared in the TWOD bit so we can compare if there is any worthwhile discount to merit being in the TWOD section.

The chairs for example are in TWOD section every single week....this weeks E200 chairs are MORE expensive than they have been previous weeks in the TWOD section. Just stick them into a new This Week Again Deal section :p

Am I just geting old and grumpy or does the TWOD section now not really merit any more looking through these days?
 
nope you're right. TWOD have been a bit pointless of late. used to be I was sat waiting for them to change on a Wednesday morning in anticipation of something tasty popping up. not so much anymore. they also regularly don't update until late Wednesday afternoon now
 
I was also once waiting for the TWO Deals eagerly on a wednesday morning but the savings we once got seem long gone, Unsure if this is down to the pound etc but its a little dissapointing

the weakening pound drum will probably get pounded but I noticed a marked decline when the new website wet live. coincidence? maybe? but it was also around this time they stopped doing the 2 daily deals and posting them in the latest news section. admittedly there is still a daily deal but it's only on one item and other than being on the front page of the website they don't overly promote them anymore - which is not surprising as, sadly, they aren't usually very exciting anymore.

Those are great deals and I believe we are the lowest on the UK by some margin on those and they all have free shipping. The 1070 and 1080 are absolutely flying off the shelf due to them being such high-end models at prices generally the cheaper basic no thrills ones sell at.

For me the whole TWO was about impulse buys, but now nothing is good enough to be an impulse buy. And Combined with a £40 delivery to my address because I live in Inverness, when Amazon is free delivery as I have Prime makes OcUK as welcoming as a heroin addict prozzie with AIDS.
 
Awww come on Gibbo. We know you can't please all the people all the and all that but the deals you've highlighted have also been highlighted elsewhere - due to buying stock from struggling competitor.
In general the TWO deals have been nowhere near exciting as they used to be, for whatever reason.
Heck it used to be every Wednesday morning you guys were posting up the list in the latest news section and highlighting some of the biggies. Now it doesn't even get a mention. Almost as if you're embarrassed about it yourselves.
I understand how the market has changed but please don't try and tell us they are every bit as good as they used to be.
 
They're not going to sell things off at a loss, I'm sure profit margins have tightened since the weakened pound

No one is doubting that things will have tightened but the TWO deals dropped off the radar long before the £ feel into a hole.

And of course we don't expect them to sell at a loss!
