Qpad MK-85 Red LED Pro Backlit Mechanical Gaming Keyboard - UK Layout - Black Switches @ £99.98 inc VAT

KB-005-QP_400.jpg

Unlike your average keyboard, that functions through rubber domes, forcing you to press each key all the way down in order for the stroke to register, the MK-85 feature true mechanical switches with unmatched accuracy and feel. No more pressing with full-force in order to activate the keys. The QPAD keyboard will respond to your every stroke in an instant.

Other boards normally have a short life span and wear out quickly, resulting in unresponsiveness, delays and a dull, clunky feel to the keys. The key switches on MK-85 are built to last 50 million strokes, and the QPAD mechanical key technology provides distinct feedback and puts you in absolute control. The travel distance of the keys is set to 4mm with an actuation point at 2mm.

For gamers, it’s all about the feel and functionallity and that is where the QPAD MK-85 truly shines. With a full size keyboard layout in 3 sections, gaming profiles, macro recording, mechanical key switches, media keys and full N-Key roll over via USB, it’s the perfect gaming keyboard. Nuff said...

MSI GeForce GTX 780 Lightning 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card @ £559.99 inc VAT

GX-207-MS_400.jpg

MSI, world renowned graphics card and motherboard manufacturer, has officially announced the release of the GeForce GTX 780 LIGHTNING. This product uses the new exclusive Triple Force Architecture and is equipped with a Triple Level signals LED. The card, from the inside out, represents the next revolution thermal design. The combined power of the Twin BIOS and the card's Enhanced Power Design equip gamers and extreme overclockers with the best graphics card. This superior performance is accompanied by a 20-phase power design that can unlock the limitless potential of the graphics card. Also featuredis the patented GPU Reactor powered back plate design which filters power supply noise and improves overclocking stability. The MSI GeForce GTX 780 LIGHTNING is built using Military Class 4 components that have passed rigorous certification testing in laboratories. With such powerful components, this graphics card is guaranteed to have an impressive service life and excellent overclocking stability. Additionally, the popular 3x3 OC Kits allow for gamers to effectively monitor the status of the graphics card. MSI products are renowned for leading the industry due to the company's innovative R&D, excellent performance, streamlined thermal design, and quality components and software. The MSI GeForce GTX 780 LIGHTNING is once again the most powerful graphics card.

The latest generation of MSI's GeForce GTX 780 LIGHTNING uses Triple Force Architecture. Equipped with a Triple Level Signals LED function, TriFrozr Thermal Design with independent fan control system, and PureDigital PWM control. The Triple Level Signals LED features green, blue, and red lights that represent light, medium and heavy power loads on the device. This ensures that players have complete control over their games or the overclocking process. The innovative TriFrozr Thermal Design with independent fan control far exceeds any traditional or custom cooler's thermal performance and ensures better cooling of the GPU, memory and PWM modules. This iteration of MSI's exclusive design builds upon the PropellerBlade and the Dust Removal Technology of the previous model, alongside seven 8 mm SuperPipes for unrivaled thermal performance. In addition, the PureDigital PWM control technology provides a more stable and accurate voltage signal than traditional designs. The PWM's reaction time is shorter and helps enthusiasts more achieve a higher stability in the most stressful of environments.

Twin BIOS is composed of an original BIOS and overclocking BIOS. The original BIOS allows users to obtain better performancethrough out of the box overclocking, while the overclocking BIOS is specifically designed for extreme LN2 overclocking. By removing restrictions, the capabilities of the graphics card are dramatically increased, which allows users to unlock the card's full potential. The enhanced power supply provides more phases of power than standard models. The GPU has 16 phases, which more than doubles the capabilities of standard designs. The memory of the power supply even has a independent power source, which further supports a foundation for extreme overclocking. Not to mention that MSI's exclusive, patented GPU Reactor filters out extra noise for a stable overclocking experience.

MSI always emphasizes top quality and stability when pursuing the highest in product performance. When developing products, MSI makes satisfying market demands and expectations its primary purpose. The MSI GeForce GTX 780 LIGHTNING introduces the latest Military Class 4 components to the series. The components have gone through rigorous testing in a laboratory to satisfy the Military Standard 810G. Regardless if it is the advantages of the low-temperature, high performance DrMOS 4, the double-sided CopperMOS thermal design, the highly durable and stable tantalum Hi-C Cap cores, the polished surface of the New SFC for added cooling, or the corrosion proof Dark Solid CAP, each aspect of the LIGHTNING ensures the best possible stability.

Designed specifically for overclocking, the 3x3 OC Kits are a must-have for all enthusiasts. The kit allows users to adjust the voltage levels GPU, memory, and PLL through MSI's exclusive Afterburner utility while monitoring GPU, memory, and MOFSET temperatures. V-Check Points also capitalize upon the multi meter measuring of GPU, memory, and PLL voltage levels to give users direct calibration data-a function that guarantees success in the world of extreme overclocking.

Was all set to buy a mechanical keyboard this week to replace my knackered G15, but the sheer amount on offer this week has me stumped!

What are people's recommendations? Definitely want backlighting, not so fussed about headphone/mic/usb ports but nice to have.

Looking to move to a 750D and dabble in watercooling as I'm a complete noob in that respect all my system have been air cooled or use AIO coolers, would a 360 rad be enough for say a 3770k with a moderate oc of 4.2 and a new r9 290x

That's quite a nice reduction on the 460w Seasonic Fanless PSU!
Really looking for the 400w, but the price difference is minimal now.

Will get order in tonight I think. :)

Thinking of getting the msi lightning, was just wondering on peoples opinions as to whether to grab it now or wait to see if the price drops in lieu of the r9 290x price reveal

Is the lightning worth the ~£100 more than the 290x? I've ordered the sapphire 290x bf4 edition for £480.
Looking at couple of the reviews the 290x is ahead of the 780 in most benchmarks, I'll be playing @1440 res as have the dell u2711.

TBH I'd be waiting for non reference cooler 290x cards to appear

Potentially 3 months away.

Don't forget you're paying for the game so really need to compare to non BF. IMO no it's not worth it at all, even if it is a good clocker.

Aye, I'm not in a position to wait that long though, I doubt I'll make it to the 15th for 780ti reveal.

See. i'm liking the looks of the benchmarks for the r9 290x, but i don't want to wait too long to get a graphics card and the heat coming off the 290x is a bit daunting even if they are safe to run at that temperature, so would prefer a non reference cooler but can't really wait that long.

I'm really liking the look of the Edifier S530 2.1 Speakers - currently I have the R1600T's which are obviously excellent, but I find myself missing the bass in games and movies at the moment.

I'm thinking about moving the R1600T's to another room and getting some 2.1's for the PC, has anyone got any experience or input on the S530's?

So tempted to buy the 4770k right now... Probably won't be able to afford my haswell board (Z87X-OC) until the beginning of December though. Is the price likely to hit £240 again before christmas?
