Hi Gibbo, I really want to buy the lightning card, but can you confirm what memory your current stock has?
I hoping it's Samsung - if it is, I'll deffo place my order

That's really helpful Joe - many thanks for that - hopefully Gibbo can confirm for sure - I also have a good few bits & peices I'd like to order all together to keep the delivery charge to a minimum.

I grabbed one from stock a few days ago for 8 Pack, it has Samsung memory, but this is by no means a guarantee that they all have it I am afraid but one would assume so but no guarantees as I cannot open our stock sorry. I let 8 Pack have one to play with because I am nice like that.
I think his card is doing 1550-1650 and well over 8400 on the clocks with the stock cooler so they do seem very overclockable indeed.

You've 'sold' me to chance my arm and place my order (with a few other bits too

Well the Lightning turned up on Friday and is all installed up & running - sadly it has Hynix memory, but I've seen some good overclocks with that memory anyway so we'll see what it can do.
One thing I am pleased with is the ASIC score of 76.8% - it could have been much poorer, so that's a plesantry.
Lucky I have a large case (CoolerMaster Stacker 830) and modular 1000 watt PSU to fit this card in (it's very long) with additional power connections.
Not had a chance to really test it out yet, but it's running real cool at 30% idle with 40% fan speed and is inaudable - so I'm very pleased.
Awesome card to which I'll be putting it to good use with 'X3 Rebirth The Teladi Outpost' with all eye candy to the max
