This worth buying ?

£300 for a 770?

Its the 4GB one thats why

I'm looking to get the gigabyte windforce version if it ever goes on sale, partly because I prefer Nvidia and partly because the games I play most work better with Nvidia. I'm going for the 4GB one because I'll be keeping it for a long time and don't want to be screwed over by the lack of VRAM like I have been with my current card.

I'm damned tempted by the gigabyte windforce 780 thats on offer this week though

Fair enough, still totally not worth it though. :)

Yeah it is 2560x1080, so with that being said your 760 probably is struggling if you want max settings, as you've said you prefer nvidia and you've sent a 290 back the only real choice if you don't want to spend too much and want a decent upgrade is a 780.

Thats why i'm waiting for a sale. Pretty much every sodding card other than the 770s have been on sale very recently for ~10% off. A similar sale would put the Gigabyte 770 WindForce 4GB at ~£260, which would make it a much more sensible option

Regardless of the 4Gb of vram, there's no why i'd pay £300 for a 770, Green team preferred or not, that's 780/290 money.

If you worried about vram, why not just get a 290? it's a damn sight faster than a 770 and has the 4Gb of vram that your looking for.
