Thomson Speedtouch585 Belkin F5D7633

Both use broadcom based chipsets, I have both. They give me an extra 1MB of sync speed over the TI AR7 chipset in my old netgear. Obviously more compatible with my DSLAM at the exchange.

Thanks for that info carter , do they both use the same type of broadcom chip. Which one would you say is the better.

Also do you know of any website links that give info on what adsl modems chipsets are in which make of modem. :)

agreed, imo the speedtouch is more user friendly, DMT works nice with it, just a good all round solid router.
