Ive recently got a new router from m ISP and Ive read that this router is renowned for having a crap wireless signal.

House:
4 bedrooms upstairs, 2 front, 2 back

I have the router in the front room and i can barely get the wireless in the back room opposite. Only got this problem after getting the new router. Before i got this router i had another router and a wireless device and i could get the signal outside the house no problem.
Is this a router problem or something else?

Thanks

if the house and other equipment is the same, i'd certainly be looking at the router as the cause. don't you have the old one still? could you use that?

All Thomson TG-series router/modem combos I've used are complete and utter crap that'll failover at the first hint of anything even remotely resembling decent workloads. So yes, I'd say it's a router issue. What I did when I had mine back in the day was use it in bridge mode and connect a router to it - basically turning the Thomson into a modem-only unit and letting the separate router handle everything else.
