Does it really annoy you:
  • how people have started to use stupid emoticons that make it hard to read what they have actually put
  • how people have such stupid display names. Why can't they just have their name and perhaps a line from a song but not listed all they "Bff's"
  • nd lstly how peeps mis vowels out of wrds so itz ded hrd to read wat dey have put.

Argh it's so annoying, do you think it's spoiling instant messaging? :p Rant over :)

I guess you just have stupid people on your contact list as that has never been my experience on MSN and I've been using it for years.

No, I have a life. Actually that's an exaggeration. I merely exist.

The lack of vowels is a generational thing, amusingly coinciding with increased GCSEs.

New Messenger sucks with the bullet-points though.

Names don't annoy me, as you can fix that quite easily. The emoticon thing is sort of. As of the latter, it's annoying but I refuse to talk to retards, so it works out fine in the end.

yes, yes, yes

I think the first two can be fixed. Either using settings in msn itself, apatch or msn plus.

The last one is a bit harder to fix, but there is always the block option.

my boyfriends 11 year old sister uses all the emoticons! my god my eyes bleed when i try to read what shes put!!

But then again she's 11 and so can be forgiven!!

I laugh though how people miss letters out to shorten words and to try and type messages faster and then i can type full words and correct punctuation quicker :p

This. All of my friends in real life type properly and don't overload MSN with useless crap.

You can turn off emoticons, you can assign everyone on your msn list a nickname that you know them as instead of thier stupid messages.

The last point I cant help with.
