Those running SMF forums: Spec me some good mods/plugins

Been using phpBB2 forums up till today when I installed SMF forums to play around with them a bit.

Any suggestions for some good plugins/mods?. I'm particularly interested in any security mods that will help cut down on spam registrations which I suffered quite a bit with on my previous phpBB2 forums.

Any other good plugins and mods that you have found to be beneficial?.

Lastly, anyone got any cool themes that they like?. I'm running the basic ones just now included with the latest version of SMF 1.1.4.

I use SMF on four of my forums, but I don't use mods. They only end up making it a pain to upgrade to future versions. And with SMF 2.0 just around the corner it isn't worth it.
