Just wondering what your ping is when pinging the default gateway?

I am currently at 3ms, should it be less? Not sure on performance in games yet but should this make any difference?

When I ping my work gateway when at work it is always 1ms or <1ms.

Cheers

C:\Users\Oli>ping 192.168.0.1

Pinging 192.168.0.1 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time=4ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time=5ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=64
Reply from 192.168.0.1: bytes=32 time=3ms TTL=64

That is without homeplugs, direct wire... stop worrying ;)

I get 3-4ms. Ethernet should be <1ms unless you have a cabling issue, interference or some sort of issue on the router/pc.... Or a very, very long cable!)

Something is so wrong with something on my end, only a 15m cable ;) Not worth even looking into though!

3-4ms is about right.

But if you're not getting <1ms with a direct ethernet cable you have a (possibly serious?) problem!
