Yea, I thought they went their seperate ways - howcome they are making halo 3 recon? Or am I getting that very wrong?

Also, halo 3 recon is set in the halo 2 timeframe - so why is it called halo 3? It should be halo 2 recon. (admittedley would be a bit weird!)

Correct me if i am mistaken but isn't it being developed by a differant company than Bungie or being co-developed as Microsoft still own the bungie IP?

MS dont own Bungie anymore. This isn't to say they don't work together.

H3 Recon is made by Bungie and MS studios. There is no reason for it to not be made by them.

As for the timeframe thing. Source?

doesn't actually say Halo 2, but it does imply that it's either during the timeframe of Halo 2 or the bit that happens inbetween Halo 2 and Halo 3

It does - bungie says its happening while master chief is on the halo in halo 2.

the player will not assume the role of Master Chief as in the main Halo trilogy, but rather a lone UNSC Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in the city of New Mombasa.[2]

Says it has multiplayer aswell, but seeing as this doesnt have the same suit and tech as halo you dont have the shield and health regen. dont see how it will work as well

It doesn't have a new multiplayer, you just get the old halo 3 multiplayer with all the DLC maps thrown in.
