Thought on the Maximus V1 Formula

Overpriced and unnecessary if you ask me. A board half the price will clock Haswell just as well because you will hit a temperature ceiling or the cpu will hit it's max overclock before you run out of options in the bios. It depends if you really want to spend the extra for better onboard sound and other features.

To be honest motherboards don't really need watercooling these days. I haven't watercooled one since my socket 775 days as they barely get warm with normal overclocking. It just adds extra restriction and more hose to the loop. Sound wise, i would take a cheaper board and get a proper sound card anyday but that's just me.

You can get cheaper boards that will clock well, but the Formula is a bit more of a premium board. I've not had any issues with mine, the BIOS is great to work with and if you do want to w/c the mobo then it's cheaper than adding a block to a board later.
