Hello guys, I'm looking to replace my aging GTX 680m based clevo laptop as even with this Custom VBIOS sitting at 1ghz it's starting to show it's age, and won't stay turned on unless I've got it plugged in the wall which is a ball ache in bed if the power cord comes lose. anyway I'm looking at this Laptop https://www.overclockers.co.uk/msi-...-intel-i7-6700hq-gaming-laptop-lt-24o-ms.html
Now I've been watching youtube videos and the overall quality etc seems to be praised and temps are outstanding I've see the 1070 reach no higher than 70 degrees with turbo fan (I'll be using headphone anyway and more than likely repaste using Cool lab liquid ultra as that's the best paste I've come across.
I'd just like confirming these 3 questions.
1, are MSI okay with you removing the heatsink to repaste?
2, what is the refresh rate of the screen? I've seen people online say 120hz? is that true? if so for the price fantastic!
3, what could I expect to get out of the 1070 when it starts to show it's age of course I don't expect 2ghz but say around the 1800s? Thank you in advance :)

I have a GT72 but the older 980m version, the one thing I will say is to open the laptop you have to break a security seal, this says to me you may not be able to change the thermal paste.

Cheers guys! It's a shame what they've done really as the gt72 looks to be a solid machine for the price. What is the refresh rate does anyone know?
