A few tweaks.

wow, epicly fast reply, thanks

also, looking at this benchmark of graphics cards, the GTX460 is WAY better than the one i had in mind.

just out of interest, what difference is there between the 955 and 965 processor, apart from the clock speed they're running at. could i just overclock the 955 to become a 965?

*edit*
oops, forgot the link. its up now

The only difference is the 965BE has a multiplier set at 1X higher, but as both have an unlocked multiplier allowing increase or decrease in the BIOS, it takes 2minutes to add +1 to the 955BE giving it the same clock speed as a 965BE!!!.

the graphics card says it needs 460W to run it on a review site i found. this is a rough power consumption for the entire computer isnt it? (because, if its the card alone, im gonna need a bigger PSU by a looooooong way)

That's the recommened PSU to use, you probaly be using 300w max!

My system below only pulls 500w with Prime and Furmark running from th mains. :)

The Bequiet option would be better as the psu is stronger and has two 6+2pin pci-e connectors, a GTX460 needs two 6pin connectors, so if you went with the 500w psu included in the case you will have to use a molex to pci-e adapter that comes supplied with the card.

forgive my ignorance, but what's wrong with using the adapter if it comes with the card?

(i assume this is just a way of getting power to the card from a different cable)

It looks messy, thats all.

Its an adapter that connects from a standard 4pin molex, that is used by older HDD and optical drives, and just has a 6pin pci-e connector on the end.
