Hey all

I'm planning to replace my aging 5 year old Q6600 system within the next few days and this is what I've came up with. It's a little over budget but I want something decent that I can I build in again in another 5 or so years. So I've tried to choose a decent case setup and PSU.
The only thing I'm not clued up on is memory, is this an ok selection for the motherboard selected?

I also need a couple of silent 140mm fans as stock cooling the R4 isn't that great from what I've read. An emphasis on "silent" (or quiet :)) is one of the main things I have in mind for this build. Anyone recommend some?

Use is mainly gaming, no interest in SLI / Crossfire, or heavy overclocking.

i assume you are going to move your hdd over?

Thanks for the reply.

I was going to manage with the 256GB SSD until prices drop a little further and I'll pick up another one. The noise generated by hard disks would throw my liking for a quiet PC out of the window :).

Interesting choice of PSU, I've not heard of them tbh, will look into it.

Anyone have answers for my questions in the first post? (RAM & fans)

The ram is fine mate, any DDR3 RAM up to 1600mhz will work with it.

You can even get faster ram it just wont work at the advertised speed so not worth the extra pennies

Corsair AF140 fans are quiet, especially if you use the 7v adapter.

The RAM choice is ok, if you get faster rated RAM then it will more than likely contain an XMP profile which you can load within the BIOS, this then sets the RAM to the rated speed/timings and voltage.
