this is £627 on the dell website or i could opt for the better screen but 250GB less hard drive for an extra £190, just dont really know if the screen would be worth the extra cash. thanks

The 1600x900 screen is great on the 14, but probably better asking in the huge dell outlet thread already running :)

The great thing anyway is you can send it back under DSR if your not happy with it, i started on a 14x and went to a 17x as it wasnt powerful enough.

oh never knew that, well I will stick to the cheaper one and I shall see how that performs if not it shall be sent back, thanks for the help

I wouldn't go for the 1366x768 screen if it was me. 1600x900 and is the sweet spot on laptops imo. 1920x1080 is all very well and good, but not on a 14" display. Mobile graphics chips will still be sweating hard to push out decent fps in the latest titles at 1920x1080. Agreed the 1080 res is better for movies etc but my primary use is gaming and I prefer native resolutions.
