I've pretty much settled on the above build, and was just looking for a bit of advice.

1. First things first, does all the above work together? This is my first build so it would obviously be a disaster if it was delivered and something wasn't compatible.

2. I've opted for the GTX 770 4GB. It was a toss up between this and the R9 280X 3GB, but I've decided to go with the GTX 770 for features like Shadowplay. It also seems that the R9 280x will perform better on one game, and then the GTX 770 on the other - so it's pretty much even performance wise.

My main worry is did I need the 4GB? For £40 cheaper, I could get the same GTX 770 but with 2GB instead. Would that be a better option? Is the 4GB going to be bottlenecked by my CPU? My thinking was that for £40, it's probably better to future proof myself a bit.

3. You'll notice that I don't have a CPU cooler. I'm not planning on overclocking anytime soon, so decided to save £20-£30.

Is that suicide, or do I really need one?

1) that will work.

2) seems like a sensible enough idea

3) a aftermarket cooler isnt a necessity, its just that the stock item can be a little noisy.

Looks.like a good build mate. 2 things:

Swap the Corsair PSU for the Superflower Golden Green 650W

Please add an SSD! 120GB Kingston V300's are cheap enough and will add much performance to the system. Or go with a Samsung EVO/Pro if feeling flush.

Other than that will be very nice system!

The CS modular are fine and a modular PSU will help cable management. At £80 the Superflower Golden Green 650w looks like poor value for money when you compare it to others such as,

The kingston V300 are poor and now use cheap nand - http://www.anandtech.com/show/7763/an-update-to-kingston-ssdnow-v300-a-switch-to-slower-micron-nand

Thanks for the help.

I've got an SSD machine at work, and would love to have one in my build, but I'm working to a budget, so I thought it would be best to get a better processor/GPU and then look at an SSD in 6 months time.
