Thoughts on Guns N' Roses?

Appetite imo is the debut album of all time not a single duff track on it.
As a teenager I remember being utterly disappointed with use your illusion, still can't listen to it.

If you can read slash's autobiography really makes you realise why the band self destructed like it did.

Was a huge fan as a teenager but now I can hardly listen to Axl's voice without pulling a pained face. The guy really can't sing at all.

They were such a big deal in their day but after the 1st album they became a bit of a joke.

Appetite is still my favourite album of all time, mostly for the amazing songs on it but also for what it represented. I don't think it can be understated how important GNR were; at a time when proper hard rock had died and glam rock had taken over, they changed all that.

Unfortunately what made them such authentic rock stars (the drinking, drugs, and women), also destroyed them as a band.

Read in newspaper today that Axl is now attempting to sue Activison for $13mill because of using Slash as a cartoon character in guitar hero while also using Welcome to the Jungle which he let them use...

Apprently he agreed to let them use the song as long as slash wasnt in it. Seriously Axl is just one big douche bag.

I really do like a few of their tunes and as mentioned a lot Appetite is a cracking album. But now pfft its just a Axl "BIG I AM THE BIGGEST THING SINCE SLICED BREAD" show.
