I'm putting together an i7 rig, I have in mind the ASUS P6 Deluxe MOBO, but also thinking of the Gigabyte EX58 UD5. Must be both SLI and cross fire capable to leave graphics options open. Not decided on RAM yet though

I would like to be able to get up to 4Ghz with minimal fuss so would like a mobo that behaves and RAM that makes it easy to get me there.

Money wise i'm looking in regions of chip £200
MOBO £200-£250
RAM £100-£150
Cooler £ 30-£70ish

I've had some great advice from other threads, many thanks to all, just looking to tie it all together now so advice appreciated.

I am using the Patriot memory (1600mhz) on the Gigabyte UD5 board running at my I7 at 4ghz without to much fuss.

Cooler have a look at the Noctua or this but you will need fan clips and a fan.

Does it not come with a pair of clips, as illustrated in the pictures to go with it?

I'd heartily recommend a Noctua NF-P12 fan as a decent compromise of quiet/air-pushing, by the way.
