Thoughts on Nokia 6630

As above - friend has one and it looks and feels great, however on T-Mobile due an upgrade soon and the only one that is close is the N70 but I don't like the look or feel of the keys.

I'd have to pay over a ton forty for a N70 so was thinking of sourcing a new 6630 instead, just wonder what people think of them, friend loves his.

You could try a 6680? Almost as good as an N70 but I think the keypad (or atleast the dpad) is a bit more like the 6630 - might also be cheaper than an N70.

T-Mobile never released the 6680 (odd decision if you ask me), so you've got the choice of the 6630 or the N70.

The 6630 is a great phone if you don't mind the lack of a front camera for video calling and way the phone looks like it's pregnant.

There seems to be some cracking deals on it lately too.

Old thread, anyway now own a 6630 on Orange and for free, well chuffed with it, oddly I also like the shape as its not too large.

Out of interest how well would tomtom 5 work on it - wondering if it might be worth sellinh my go 300 and using this instead.

tom tom seems to work very well on them. DMPoole i belive has got tom tom on his and he's very happy with it

the only real negitive is the lack of ram(only 10mb) and the poor battery life. Its just not on when nokia decide to put the same battery in the 6630 that they use for the 6230i's. Stupidity. the battery life is obviously gonna half that of a 6230i because the phone is that much more power hungry.

I agree on the shape - for some reason it seems very natural and is very easy to get on with. i prefer it over the 6680.

ive had the phone for a year on orange and havent had any problems with it at all cracking little(well slightly chubby) phone, the battrey life isnt too bad well it lasts me about 2 days but i charge it each evening anyway.

Sounds good, I need to look into this - checked the phone mem and it reports 8MB free that was after clearing the folders of images, video's etc,

Is that likely to be a problem.
