Thoughts on Taylor Swift?

I'm not sure why people seem to be in love with her looks/body. She has nice (although skinny) legs but aside from that her figure is reminiscent of a 13 year old boy. No ass, no boobs, no waist/hip ratio, average face...

We have a worrying most of men here equating a fully grown women body to that of an underage boys!

Take a seat over there....

A record company at the time that worked/based out of a suburban house, whom she left SONY for.

One could argue having share in your own company gives you an advantage over another singer who does not. The argument is that does not equal record sales, particularly it is not a major record label, there are no massive PR campaign and also you are then running your own career, not the record company running yours. Which shows business sense and why also she earns so much money.

All the more reason she is not another Britney.

you are right, she isn't another britney. britney is on another level. lol. she isn't close. same goes for christina.

taylor is a sloot, who can't dance, or sing.

but she does get around

Let's be honest, if she came on to you like a horny rabbit not one of you would say no.

If she approached me and asked what does a painters radio look like, I would have to oblige.

Just so she knows, if one of her songs came on said radio. I'd turn it off.

Just had a listen to a few of her most popular songs, she is lovely to look at but her songs are rather empty and shallow, seems to me another cookie cutter teeny pop star to me.
I certainly don't see any great talent just average singing ability with kinda empty songs.

Also some of her live performances were awful, I don't know if she was just having a few bad days but I know people who can really sing and even on there worse days can sing better than that.

Lets be honest if she was not as attractive as she is, she would not even have a career, there are plenty of people capable of singing just as well and better that no one ever hears of.

Just because she has had success does not mean she is a great talent, popularity does not equal ability.

I do feel overall in popular music we are kinda in a dark age, too much xfactor type manufactured artists which have no soul.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do, it's like you can't win an argument on her being successful so have to use their personal life in a form of attack.

That to me speak more of you than then her.

And how reliable is your source anyway? Even if they are true, 10 guys by the time you are 25...about average for the general population?

10 guys in 5 years, I would say less than average.

I do wonder if it is all related. Did anyone catch… Can't remember if it was last night or Monday night on Film 4. Side by Side documentary (roughly 2 hours) with Keanu Reeves. He was interviewing all the directors, camera men etc etc looking back how film started to the present day. Made me think how the ease of digital has ruined so many things. Same styles same sounds.

I know nothing of her music, but know that she's totally bangin'

From what little I've seen/heard of her, I find it a little troubling that so many people seem to dislike her so strongly. It's a bit weird, frankly.

Reminds me of the time of school. Don't dare say you liked pop! All hell would break loose.

She's THE current popstar idol, much like Britney, Miley or Gaga before her. There's an entire industry making tones of money off her image right now but she's at the mercy of those who compose the catchy songs. Her star will fade when the teenagers and young adults start to look for something new, as they always do, which typically lasts ~3-4 years after the big breakthrough.

It doesn't look like she has the flexibility of long term popstars like Madonna, Rihanna or Katty Perry.

Who were the famous females in the mid 00s? I'm having a complete blank of pop from the past 6 - 8 years or so… I at least remember the early 00s sounding better than the xfactor generation that seems to be plagued from the last 7 - 8 years…
