hey guys, just ordered this card. I was wondering if anyone on this forum already owns it, and if it performs up to the hype. also , how does it sound with a 2.1 set of speakers?

I myself had a few problems when it was in my pc, just drivers issues. Mic delay in vent is not good when you use it everyday ;/ so it's currently sat in my drawer.

Supposedly there are new drivers coming out early next week so I will give it another try.

Superb for music and movies. Next best thing to an X-Fi in games. Just had a few gaming issues that Asus never sorted out in drivers so I ended up switching back to an X-Fi. Was very minor really and someone less fussy about audio would have never been bothered by it.

It was the card that really kicked off my enthusiasm for stereo headphones (and basically killed off the remaining enthusiasm I head for multi-driver 5.1 headphones), after using its implementation of Dolby Headphone with a borrowed set of HD600s.

It sounds superb with anything

I bought 2 of them for both my PC's

Games really sound incredible & very lifelike.

Bluray/DVD also sound amazing. Bass is very deep & the sound is very clear. You will not be disappointed at all they really are high end sound cards.

1 tip I would give you is disable all DSP modes & just listen to everything with no additional processing. This I found gives the ultimate sound quality although the built-in Dolby heaphones mode is pretty special

Just search here there was a massive thread on these a few years ago.

^^cheers Buddy for the reply , very nice of you to give your opinions. I just hope it sounds better through my Logitech z4s, than-it does on my on- board sound card atm
