Thoughts on the Razer Blade Pro?

Hey folks,

I'm going to be pre-ordering the RBP when it's released in the UK, I'm loving the spec, my concerns over how it is going to disperse it's heat have been quelled by early adopters in the US and I'm made my peace with the fairly ridiculous (£3.5k) price.

Having never owned a Razor laptop (well, I've been a Mac guy for a decade now) - Does anybody think I'm off my trolley? I'm talking build-quality, the less than awesome customer service etc are all concerns for example...

What do people think of this bit of kit?

Expensive as hell, but the specs rock and really you have no other option if you want a truly high-end laptop that doesn't look like crap.

With Apple dropping the ball so hard on the new Macbook Pro I can definitely see why people would be looking to move over.

Got it in one buddy. Apple really are a different company to the SJ era - such a shame. Nothing innovative or mind-blowing for so long, they're now just like every other high end company without the sparkle that they had in yesteryear :/

Brilliant bit of kit. Build quality almost on par with Apple, shame about the customer service. Any ideas on a release date?

So due to the "insane demand in the US" (spoke to them on Facebook chat), the UK release has been pushed back to Q1 2017.

I am waiting for the V2 to come out. Also eyeing for an Origin Laptop. Will see when the v2 comes out for reviews.

RBP with GTX 1080 is outperformed by most laptops with a GTX 1070. Check the firestrike score in my sig.

RBP is a pretty machine but is the prettiness worth the thermal throttling?

I personally wouldn't get it due to thermal issues, price and not hearing great things about there customer service. If you want a nice laptop with a 1080 in it go for an alienware or a aorus
