Just had a phone call from a guy selling this ..

Most of you know I drive a CTR EK9, its for sale at a similar price. I know the Corolla isn't going to touch the Civic in terms of handling, because pretty much nothing FWD does, but I fancy a change.

Anyone know anything about TTE and the modifications he's done? or with the Corolla T-sport in general? I'm guessing the clutch he's got is going to be pretty 'snappy'?

Any remotely modern Corolla = As exciting to drive as a camel.

I certainly couldn't justify getting rid of a Type-R in favor of something more boring to drive. I know you like your car to invoke some kind of driving pleasure... this isn't for you.

Don't do it Tim, get a proper car and get yourself back on irc we miss you! Lot of power but won't be screaming vtec or as good handling just a bit quicker on the straights!

TTE is "Toyota Team Europe" who are basically Toyota's European factory motorsport division so they're pretty much all genuine Toyota approved mods. No idea who SP are though.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I had a camel ride on a beach when i was quite young, the camel went berserk and ran like hell, eventually throwing me off. I was scared to hell but is was definitely exciting :p

Handling on them is a bit wallowy but not terrible cars tbh, drove a friends and was surprised.

They later officially released a supercharged model in limited numbers, the general concensus was ok car but could do better.

Small Evo review of the TTE Compressor model here, http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/62605/toyota_corolla_compressor.html

Probably not worth the swap tbh, if you were wanting a family hatch with a bit of poke for when the wife and kids aren't with you then maybe it would be :p
