Ok so I am wanting to buy a laptop for my old man's Christmas as I am fed up with him moaning about how crap his current PC is 
He would just be using it for general use nothing fancy so browsing and watching videos, burning discs and maybe the odd bit off video/photo editing. I am been looking at this machine

Seems a pretty good spec for the money but the only thing that puts me off is the fact its a Samsung and not sure how reliable they are. So was wondering if anyone can recommend if its a good buy or if there are any other machines i should consider for the same money?
