Hi guys, I made this live last night and went to bed, its only got 30 views but its had explosive feedback, people on fb messaging me asking to collab, telling me i should get it signed. Im a sound engineer and only purely work with sound. I dont really know what to do, thought this sub forum might have some better input, i was thinking of cleaning up some composition and putting it on itunes or maybe, even giving it away as a free single.

Jean Michel Jarre hath returned :D

It's pretty good. What style would you class it as?

Approach some labels if you think it's good enough. It's good, but it's nothing I've never heard before..

yeah i gather its been heard before, its the techniques im proud of though, i used harmonic content modulation for the most part and some hardware like the nord the latter might be why it sounds conventional in some parts. i was having a go at a genre i have NEVER made a full track on before and i was trying to see if i could crack it, thank you for the feed back guys, ill aproach some digital media guys and get it on spotify

To me it sounds like a showcase of three individual tracks. The first is two minutes long, then from two minutes to around the three minute mark is the second track and then from three to the end it's the third track. As a demonstration of sounds I really like it, but I don't think it's good as a single track.

You've got great synth sounds there that would be excellent for some future synth / retro wave stuff. Especially from the two minute to three minute mark. That bit I really enjoyed.

yeah i really enjoyed making it, as above im not a producer im a sound designer, i primarily design sounds and sell them in soundsets of sample packs, back in 2011 i used to make content for other artists, i made project theadora. Most of my stuff i make ends up becoming something else, ive got crap attention span and i get excited and blend it into something new because i hate repetition,i just thought it really fit well, your right though so im going to release it for free.

edit, yes the style is meant to be retro new wave, going for the pixelord/vektroid/lazerhawk sound mostly com truisy.

it's ok but can't say it's something I'd listen to regularly.

The first part reminds me of early cylob (pre 2000) stuff which I think falls under 'noise music' these days although I've always thought of it as 'digital noise', which to be fair I've grown out of.

Then it goes very much into the 70/80's vibe, kept making me think of he man/she ra type era.

You can tell you're a sound designer, each element has professional weight as soon as you hear it and the mix down is spot on.

As stated, it does unfortunately sound like a few tracks in a very short showcase. That's not to detract from the quality though. Love the lead that's introduced at 3:03. My ears are also screaming for the bass line to have more of a sub grunt behind it, that's personal preference though.

It's not coherent enough as an actual 'production' to be signed, if I'm brutally honest. You clearly have talent though.

Maybe get it up on Sound Cloud and tag it up to get some more valuable feedback? You could offer it up as a free download to people who want to keep it.

Oops! I listened to this the other day but I forgot to comment.

I liked the sounds that I heard, and I enjoyed it I haven't really got any criticism, constructive or otherwise to add however.
