Thoughts on this prebuilt and monitor advice

As for the monitor, one of these would be nice:
YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus VG23AH 23" 3D IPS Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £199.99
1 x Asus VN247H 24"Widescreen Super Narrow Bezel LED Monitor - Black £167.99
1 x Dell UltraSharp U2312HM 23" Widescreen LED Monitor - Midnight Grey £161.99
1 x Iiyama Prolite X2377HDS 23" Premium IPS Panel Widescreen LED Monitor - Black £139.99
Total : £692.88 (includes shipping : £19.10).

For the actual system, you could just get this:
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-247-OE&groupid=43&catid=2385&subcat=1270 and add a 7950 to it, turns out to be cheaper and the 7950 is around similar performance levels to the 670.

i prefer the 27inch screens, makes text easier to read
this benq meant to be good

i dont have one tho so read some reviews see what you think the pc is fast for sure

Which monitor do you think would go best? (£200 budget), another poster suggested http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...d=1120&subcat= but it is a little to big for my desk.

The OP has already said a 27" monitor is to big.

What do you mean "my bad" Idleman?

I had a look at the other build, I want a 1tb HD and a 120gb SDD as well so with those onto it I think it would end up a similar price, any saving is good though.

There is just so many to choose from hehe it can get rather hard to choose.

What do you mean "my bad" Idleman? I made a bad post because I did`nt read the full spec. It was`nt a reflection on your choice.

Have you thought of building it yourself?

Yeh I considered building it myself but I felt buying a prebuilt was a better choice, mainly due to the overclocking already done and the warranty offered.

I noticed a few things I'll be buying have "this week only" offers on them. I assume this runs out on monday? Will I be able to speak to the sales team tomorrow about adding a blu ray burner?

This week only offers run out on Wednesdays :)

I don't know if there will be anyone about on Sunday, but you could post in the customer service section here at the forums and see if you get a reply there :)

If it's mainly due to overclocking already done and warranty, then you should build it yourself :p
You get warranty on most of the parts anyway, and overclocking is easy to do.

It's much more valuable on a personal level when you do it yourself. I've never built before, but took it upon myself to have a go this year and I'm glad I did.

So much to learn from it, and should come in handy in future.

But yes, you can definitely get more/better for the same/less price than having it pre-built as shown in LukieBoy's spec. And as someone mentioned earlier, you get warranties with the individual components anyway (in most cases) so you've nothing to worry about unless you purposely break it or something ;)
