saw this auction , now assuming I could get them for the £1600 opening bid , I could then sell my own wheels ( 19inch standard m3 wheels )

any idea what I might get for these ( tyres 7mm tread rear , 4 mm fronts , front minor kerbing , no kerbing on rears , lacquer damage on all wheels , bad on one , the lacquered almost always goes on these )

also I would sell the cup sports that are in this auction as they are not suitable for daily road use , what might these fetch ? ( they are about £1000 new but in short supply )

and also any general thought on whether it makes sense

I'm guessing at getting around £600 for my wheels as they stand and maybe £300 for the pilot sport cup tyres

In that case, as a backup plan, did you notice these?

Although at £300 I'd be tempted to keep the pilot sport cup tyres anyway.

cheers for the link , tyres are a bit more worn and oddly are not the standard size for those whells ( can cause insurance issues )

just did calcualtions for wheel diameter

19 inch m3 standards use 225/40 and 255/35

CSL use 235/35 and 265/30

so about a 3% reduction in diameter

not too bothered re the speedo reading more that the wheels may look a tadge small on the car ( may not be noticeable )

grrr , why am I Incapable of making a decision  , still considering getting the normal 19's refurbed ( properly not a man in a van job )

decided that I like my current wheels so are going to have them refurbed properly ( about £500 by the time the tyres are taken off and on )

just picked up a set of 18 inch wheels for a bit over £235 with legal tyres , will put them on till the 19's are done and then probably resell the 18's ( or maybe keep them because if I don't I am bound to curb one of the 19's the day after selling them :D )
