Got £900 to spend, need everything but a hdd.

I got 3 options,

i3 540 and GTX 470 sli
i5 760 and GTX460 sli/GTX480.
i7 930 and GTX 470

I prefer NV, but if someone can persuade me that'd be good.

What about CPU coolers? Noctua D14 the best bet? or what about the H50, H70.

I plan to custom WC the lot in 3 months or so.

Sorry, should have been clearer, i need everything except hdd, monitor, keyboard, mouse and windows.

And yes it is purely for gaming.

How about this mate:

its what i'd go for

Looks good, i think that with the standard 460's at £149 would bring me under budget and not much of a loss as i plan to WC anyway.

Is that cooler sufficient to get the i5 to 4Ghz ish?

could save some cash

by going for this mobo- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-124-MS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1495

psu- http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-002-XF&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1497

and cooler- akasa venom or titan fenrir evo

anyway you can push for sli gtx 470 or crossfire hd 6870?

if sli'ng gtx 470 keep the current psu if sli'ng the gtx 460 or crossfiring the hd6870 the 650w should be enough

I wasnt aware that board did sli, thankyou very much. If any site admins read this it might be worth putting that it does sli on the bit you see when you select p55 MB's.

That 6870CF looks VERY tempting, will that cooler be able to handle 4Ghz? (Titan)

both builds look good but it could be done cheaper..and if it was me i would go for the single card rather than crossfire/sli as there is nearly always problems!! and if you are going to wc at some point your looking at £180 just for blocks on the gfx.

I understand that, have WC'd 5 machines before, the £900 now does not include the blocks.

Unless anyone has any other suggestions, i think the 6870 CF is the winner ATM.
