I've heard of almost all the games in the THQ complete pack, but never played any of them... Is it worth me getting it for £26.49?

That'd be a hard question to answer I suppose without some background info, I like rpgs, fps, some strategy, fantasy games (such as Aion) and war games. I just basically want to know if what you get in the pack is worth the price of a brand new game or there abouts.

If you like war games then you should love DoW/CoH if you also like RTS games. Those alone are easily worth £26.50, but then you have stuff like Saints Row 2 and the Red Faction series included.

Ok I think I'll get it, it seems like a good deal anyway even though I've no idea what most of the games are like.

The next question is: What do I install first? :D

Definitely worth it even if you've played one or two of the best ones, some older but good games i would never have even considered playing if they weren't part of this pack! :D

If you get it don't forget to at least try Full Spectrum Warrior; total different approach to strategy and hella fun.

What do you do in it?

Am currently downloading CoH but it'll probably take forever on our lovely country connection lol along with pausing it later to play Aion. Still at least I can get my essay done in the meantime.

I just finished getting CoH but was a little annoyed at having to sign up just because i was online, ah well anyway got the expansions done as well but it was a bit of back and forth getting everything setup right, it all seems ok except now when i click to play the first game it shows the tales of valor background, so im just making sure is that all it is as i want to play the first game and play everything in the right order, i take it its all in one now basically and the first mission says the invasion of normandy, thats from the original game right?

THQ pack is £26.49 on Steam at the mo, just in case anyone missed it. I don't ever remember seeing a better value for money deal on some truly amazing games - the full DoW set, DoW 2, CoH et al, Titan Quest + expansion, all fantastic games. Unless you already own most of the games on the list, I'd push it on you in a heart beat. You won't be disappointed.

I already had a heap of the games like the original DoW's (not including II), Stalker and the CoH Trilogy, ironically i bought Tales of Valor for £10 a couple of weeks ago.

i still bought the package, installing all the DoWs each time and re-activating the CD-Key was a PITA, so the £20 was more than worth buying them from Steam so i can recieve auto-updates and no requirement for CD key.

ALTHOUGH, i run Win7 x64 and i have major issues with Full Spectrum Warrior & Red Faction II.

FSW installs and runs but has a framerate of about 0.00002 if the graphic settings are on high and Red Faction II tells me to insert the DVD into the drive (wtf?).

Luckily these are old games and i should run on my laptop, which will give me good excuse to play them when im travelling again.

Red Faction Guerilla and DoW II were the selling points for me, these games combined cost more than the THQ pack and are quite recent games but ironically i have found myself playing the Titan Quest game more than anything, i never knew anything about this game and being an ancient Greek mythology geek i am getting into it quite a bit.

dont worry mate, i had the original 2 games on DVD and bought tales of valor on Steam a while ago.

Your games are registered through THQ not Steam directly, so for instance, i did not have the original CoH or OF installed, but i installed Tales of Valor through Steam... upon running the game first it prompted me for my THQ login details, and then voila, it allows me to play all 3 games through Tales of Valor on Steam... Steam showed CoH as a 'Pre-Load' game, which i guess was the data.

Now i have the THQ pack i have all 3 on Steam, but just to let you know i found CoH/THQ to be the easiest setup ever... whenever i log on to CoH it randomly chooses the Tales of Valor/OF or CoH loading screen and images... as long as you have got all 5 or 6 mission packs available on the main screen, it ranges from Normandy to the Falaise pocket if i remember rightly you are all good to go with all 3 games.

Thanks Keltik THC & doggs, that's that worry sorted then! :D

Yeah same here, not played something like this for too long now and wasn't expecting much so i was pleasantly surprised, not a bad little game! :)
