thread stuck in device driver, now no image

So I just got the error thread stuck in device driver.

System rebooted... same error after 60sec
System rebooted... same error after 30sec
System rebooted... same error on windows loading
System booted I got windows loading sound over my speakers, but black screen.
System rebooted... now my monitor says no input detected, but system loads and dosent crash. PCB at back of Gpu is cold.


Do I have a dead 1080?

Do you get any display before Windows starts to load (e.g. BIOS splash screen)?
Can you get into safe mode?
Can you boot it into a Linux Live environment?

Can you rma a gpu back to msi is the seller you got the GPU from as stopped trading? I got my 1080 on sale as the shop was closing

Bit of and update, managed to test system with friends GPU, and tested my GPU in his system.

GPU DEAD
System good.

am going to email them tonight, i lucked out and found an old gtx980 i can use for now but i want my 1080 back
