Hi

I’m thinking of replacing my home server with a 1950X based build. During periods of low usage, I.e. just sat there idle acting as a file server, would it be Power efficient or are they power hungry chips even at idle?

I use my current server for other tasks such as bulk video file conversion etc rather than just a basic file server etc.
