Threadripper x1900 vs i7 7820x

what ? do you not see how important it is ?

its only just launched and more content to come and many people are building pcs just to play it.so im showing there is a point in using these very highend cpus for gaming.while you may not agree many do and are building rigs.pubg is one of the main reasons at the moment.

you could show every reason on this forum and still people would argue debate it lol.

when has a game on pc shifted 8 million copies in such a short time which needs such a decent pc to play it properly.obviously for people like ocuk its a big deal because people need mainly enthusiast parts to play it.

I'm still failing to see, why a badly coded, alpha release game regardless of how many players it has would help you decide to spend way more than you need to just to play it? You've got to be a mad fool to buy in to that sort of marketing, "Hey our game is great, but you need to spend well over £1500 to play it how you want to" vs. I dunno lets say Overwatch, which you can play at 1080p on a potato.

It's like buying a 7 bedroom house, when you only need 3, because sometimes your family come to stay and you need the extra room, perfectly justifying spending 2-3x more than you need to in every other scenario. If something is an exception, then it is just that, you don't use it as the rule.

because most people what other people are enjoying.its a mp game.gaming is about enjoying games with friends.

what does it matter if overwatch has low spec high fps.if thats not what everyone is playing ?

you can call it whatever you want but the figures are there people are playing it and to play it decently on pc you need a decent pc.so many will invest in highend gear to play it.

it wont be optimized by much.so regardless you going to need a decent pc to play it.

What's going on with the 1080ti in that picture?

its always been this way with top end cards and games vs mid range cards lower res.once you get to 1440 1080ti takes over.at 1080 though you want a 1070gtx or 1080 gtx which i would say at the moment is the best card value wise.as the 1070gtx is over priced.thing is the 1080s just went up aswell.

Ah ok

Would expect at least the same as the 1080. But nevertheless. Interesting

Its an inconsistent MP game so no one benchmark run is the same as any other, there will be differences, the 1080 and 1080TI are close enough for that to be a CPU bottleneck, the minimums are 1% apart. :)

Hold on, did I miss something I though OW had 30+ million players, circa 10+ million on the PC alone. So, no one is playing it?

Also, no it's certainly not worth having to spend way more than you need to on average to play one title, regardless of the number of people playing it.

I'll say it again, basing buying an entire PC for one game is dumb, when the rest of the stuff you play is going to need far less expenditure. So quoting it as an example about the comparisons of what power you need to play at 1080p on average is equally silly.

To be fair plenty of people buy a pc for one game.

Yes, I am sure plenty of people buy a high end PC to play one game, note high end, not a £500 budget system which is less than the graphics card required for that title according to Dg.
