Three and voicemail charges

My first post on the forum, but I'm sure not the last. I'm at the end of contract with O2, so looking at Three and a SIM only 30 day plan instead. Many other posts surely to follow as I'm looking to go Android from iOS..

May seem daft to have to ask this here, but can anyone currently with THREE tell me whether accessing voicemail is charged for, or whether it's taken from inclusive minutes, or whether it's free on their current contracts ?

So far, I've had conflicting advice each time I've phoned them, used the online chat service or been into a store. Unbelievably, at one point a tele sales staff denied the online chat service existed and suggested I avoid using the Three UK website as it wasn't official and safe !

I finally made a complaint, and CS rep told me voicemail came from included minutes on all plans but was unable to put this in writing, so I'm still not convinced.

Normally that's enough to make me walk away, and I see all the forum posts really slate the customer services. However their prices, signal locally and lack of tie in is v tempting.

Welcome to the forums :)

This document looks like a start.....scanning now myself.

With our SIM Zero plan on a minimum one month*term, you pay for only what you use and there is no charge for voicemail.

Outside your allowance. Charges for calls and messages outside inclusive allowance of your SIM Only packages (excluding SIM Zero).

Thanks both, I saw the linked guides before but it isnt clear with the non Zero sim only plans, so that's when I called Three and the fun started.

I'm looking at the ULTIMATE 200 sim only plan and seems from above that it's charged only when used outside of call allowances ..

Alternatively, use Hullomail as a visual voice mail. I've found it brilliant, although am a little miffed they've evolved a subscription service for some of the extra options I'd had for free beforehand. The free service however is certainly sufficient and clearer/easier to manage missed calls and messages than standard, dial-in voice mail.
