Book 1 Made into a 30 part series. (in 3 dimensions ;) )

Very heavy to watch if you haven't read the book. At least i think so.

Get your Sophons out and enjoy... Or be utterly confused. They say if you can make it to episode 4 without book knowledge you should be safe to watch all 30 episodes :p (as they air daily)

The book is pretty wild, crams so much stuff in every page, not surprised it's a long series.

Will give it a go. The book is ace

Whilst the book is complex, I am unsure that it warrants 30 episodes. Loved the books, so thanks for the heads-up.

Be interesting to see what David Benioff and D.B. Weiss do with their Netflix adaption.

I have the book sat next to me at work, was chipping away in 30 minute segments on lunch breaks but sort of petered out, will go back to it then give this a watch.

Yeah I read the book a few months ago as I heard they were adapting it. Have to say.. I don't think I'll bother with watching this series or the Netflix one :p It definitely did not grab me.

Will watch episode 4 later. Enjoying it so far but it is a slow burn.

IIRC, I struggled to get into the book until about halfway through, was on the verge of stopping. Couldn't put it down after that though.

The Von Neumann computer was really well done, just like the book. The Game scenes are really good on the whole and I can't see how the Netflix version will top this.

Episodes release daily apart from weekends I think.

My missus hasn't read the books but she has figured out a few things already, they are on the verge of revealing it in ep19.

Final episode aired yesterday.
It remains a slow build up to the following books, which I understand The Dark Forest is being written and will be next as well as a spin off for Qui Shang (the cop).

The ship vs nanowire episode was good, just like the book and not as graphic as it could have been.

Well, I've finished it and enjoyed it, but boy it is a bit of a slog. 30 episodes for the first book....they don't do anything in 5 minutes if they can take an hour or two and it's very drawn out. For example, one flashback about Ye Wenjie's early life in the labour camp and how she got sent to the Red Coast Project took about 2.5 episodes! lol.

If you're not a patient person who enjoys long slow drama, wait for the Netflix version, I see that's about 8 episodes
