Three dropping data signal

Hi,

I have an issue which I suspect to be network related, but could be device related I guess. Basically the data signal will be lost and will not return until I restart the phone.

i.e. I will have voice signal, but no data. Turning mobile data/flight on/off does not restore the data connection. But if I restart the phone I'll get data straight away.

If I use another SIM card in the same phone, I do not experience these issues, even if I enter an area with no signal - I will get data again as soon as I get signal again.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had these issues, I don't really want to leave 3 and signal is actually ok for me - aside from this issue.

Send their Twitter support a message. They will check things over for you.

I called Three the other week to see what they'd say and they weren't that helpful to be honest.

contact them and ask them for a new sim. that might sort things out for you. most people have difficulty in receiving signals indoors with three usually.

There's a setting you can change in a hidden menu that is supposed to fix that issue:

Speak to them again. They are usually quite helpful when it comes to this kind of thing.

Yep this week, first time it's ever happened for me and I have had to restart the phone each time. IP5s. If it does it a few more times I will give them a ring.
