Three Mobile - Contract

The last contract I had was in 1993, since that expired in the late 90s I've been PAYG.

Due to the Three Mobile price increases I'm looking to move to a contract with them as I've been fairly happy with coverage and support.

One thing that puzzles me is the prices supposedly available to existing customers and those from MoneySupermarket. Three cost for unlimited minutes and text with 12GB data is £10 but MSM has the same deal at £8. Both are for a 12 month contract.

Why would Three try to rip off existing customers or am I missing something?

This is basically how everything subscription based works, they offer low to entice you in and then rip you off in the hope you are too lazy to move on.

That said you can generally get new customer deals, you just might have to move your number to a PAYG SIM from another provider first.

It might be worth considering Smarty, it is threes network and the pricing might be better for you, £8 a month for 12gb and no contact term

Yep was just going to type the same thing. I used Three as my home internet provider (4g) and then moved to a rolling contract with Smarty and I haven't noticed any difference.
If all you need a decent SIM Only plan with none of the "free" extras then Smarty would be my shout if you're happy with the Three coverage in general.

I've been on to Three Support and told them I wasn't impressed with them offering a 10 year+ customer a worse deal than a new one. They offered 30GB for £10 so I took it. I'm likely to be spending a bit of time in hospital soon so the extra might be useful.

I always use their online chat, say that i'm disappointed with current deals. They usually manage better.

Same with most contracts/subscriptions these days, Sky, Insurance etc. They only really care about getting new customers in, you have to haggle.

If you phone Three, they'll match the deal on MSM.

My god... have you been living under a rock or something for the last 10 years? Customer loyalty hasn't been a thing for a very long time. You mean as much to them as someone who's been with them for 1 day.

I'm also on this deal as well after telling them I was going to leave at the end of my last sim deal. Sucks you have to do this but it's worked well enough I've not switched networks for at least 5+ years.

Call three and tell them you are not satisfied with three and the reception is to weak. They will reduce the price of you say that
