Well, it's been one year since my sister got an unlimited text, 2000 minute and 2gb internet BB (rubbish!) My father has been with them for ages, and they charged, guess what, £116 for the first bill, even though it was supposed to be £26, they said it was fixed, and my sister did not even use the phone (texted like 3 times, 10 minutes used). Today my dad got another four shady phone calls from them, saying they wanted to give us an iPad 2 for being a 'good' customer.
Is this too good to be true?

If it sounds too good to be true then it is. Nothing in life is free

*edit* apart from Haribo apparently!

iPad 2 on a 24 month high usage tariff, only £60pm.

But a "free" iPad nevertheless. :D

Lol, yep, false advertising, they are gonna call back tommorrow, and I am gonna listen it to the conversation. Usually gets a bit hectic when my dad is talking to three mobile :p

Three gave me a free iPad 2 for being a loyalty customer after I was going to cancel my account with them, but it's £24 per month, but I didn't have to pay a penny for the upgrade.

Likely this is what they going to offer you.

they are not giving you a free ipad2, they are offering you a deal on a 24 month contract that comes with a "free" iPad, likely this will cost you X amount a month for 2 years!

Vodafone try and pull the same trick. "oh you've been with us for 6 years, we're so grateful we want to give you an iPad - NOW PAY US MORE MONEY!" No thanks..

I think I saw the maximum cost for a base model iPad was about £900 on a heavy mobile tariff.

You pay for the Haribo. That's why the extra £10.00 is added. :)

Not for free, for a contrat of 24 months with a paid bill.

Wow, they said it was 'free forever', and they called and said we have to pay £46 a month for 3G data?
Yep, as I expected!
Also, mrbell, I tested the 2.5" HDD's they are fault free :)

£46 a month WTF no doubt for 24 months, congrats they just tried to make you pay £1100 for an ipad2 and a bit of data, mobile companies take the ****

Yep, I had said phone call last week, it would cost me a whole pound a day to own one.

When I said if I put aside one whole pound a day, in a years time I would have more or less enough money to buy one outright anyway without having to pay the likes of vodafone an expensive contract. I think the person on the other end of the conversation got the message... :p
