Has anyone noticed a massive slow down on data speeds recently?

I’m having to continuously cycle airplane mode on/off to reset the data, that only lasts 15-20 minutes before I have to do it again.

I started noticing the slow downs around Christmas time but has been worse of late.

I get 3 out of 4 bars of signal and 4G where ever I go.

Have thought about stitching to EE or Vodafone as I’m on a SIM only plan anyway.

Most of the time it’ll take me a good minute to load this forum.

Could be due to the virus recently and everyone sucking up the bandwidth?

What area are you in ? I assume you're using it as a main form of internet?

I use Three for my home broadband and can't say I've noticed any significant drop off.
Not just me though, quite a few of us at work are on Three and we are all noticing how slow our data is.

Can’t even load the Facebook app or instagram half the time unless I toggle airplane mode.

Anything mentioned on the 3 website or Twitter feeds? Maybe there's issues around your way.

Sounds like there’s a severe lack of capability in the area. Remember that signal level indication doesn’t mean that the local serving cell has any resources to send you data.

I always thought it's mad that people are using mobile internet as their main source. I understand it's a lot faster than their landline and I agree it is what I would do but I wonder if the mobile providers really have the capacity for this. It could be this reason that it's slow?

Well Three in particular offer it as a home broadband option along with a specialised router so you'd like to think they've done their homework to some extent.
I will caveat my speed figures by saying I live in the countryside and can't get fixed line broadband so that may be why I never experience slow downs with three. As a mobile provider, where I live three are virtually unheard of. When people ask how I get broadband and explain it's three mobile it's like some sort of witchcraft to them :p

It’s not my main internet, I have gigabit internet at home. :)

It’s when I’m either at work or I’m out somewhere, the internet speeds are just so poor.

I get a decent speed where I live.
About 40mbs.

I have noticed it dipping a lot recently... So yea. I blame all The people on their phones cus their bored.

I always have this annoying thing on both my s10+ and my s9+ before it where it shows 4g+ but my internet doesnt actually work. Its really frustrating

I have had intermittent issues recently of pages stuck at TLS handshake when loading, having to refresh to get a response. However when i'm connected to a VPN it does not do this. The speed remains in the region I was getting before, as of right now 30mbps when not connected to the VPN.
