Three Warhammer Online Announcements

Hey there

I'm going to give the open beta a try, then going to join early access and if I find the game is good enough I'll buy the collector's edition I pre-ordered. If not it's back to WoW and WotLK.

Going to try open-beta then join early access, if it's good then buy the CE Pre-order? Sorry man but you have it completely wrong. You need the CE Pre-Order to even get a spot in open beta or early access as its the perks you get for the pre-order pack.

id rather have a working game that has less content than an over ambitious bug fest that was AoC on launch, sorry but theres no way Funcom should be charging people to play AOC in its current state its a very 'empty' experience' and the novelty lasts a day or two..

props to the Warhammer crew for deciding to limit its content to make sure whats there works on release, theres till tons of classes, tons of content and the beta seems to be evolving all the time (from others ive spoken to about it)

really hoping War' turns out a success, until then ill work on my creeps in the lotro moors ..

I have the pre-order box as I have already pre-ordered my WAR Collector's Edition. I have my three codes for open beta, early access and exclusive in-game items. Therefore I can join the open beta and early access. I've changed my mind now though, WAR looks awesome and is doing the right thing by cutting back on the stuff that needs work and getting a polished game out for launch unlike AoC and many other half-assed MMO's that have come out in recent years. When I heard the announcement I jumped to conclusions and was like many other WAR fans, a bit mad at Mythic and dissapointed but now that I look at it logically it's the best thing to happen to the game in the long run.

When I read that 4 classes were being scrapped I thought 'Wow... That sucks, I wonder how many are left? About 6?' but then I found out that there are 20 other classes. Some of the replies in this thread make me laugh.

Aye 20 other classes does sort of hint that there is going to be a fair bit of variety still :)

I'm quite looking forward to War, it's the first mmorpg since uo to get my attention - younger brother has played most of the others (including gundam online), and none of them caught my eye enough for me to even try a free trial, let alone spend out on an expensive pre-order.
