it could be because its late and im not going to get any sleep tonight, but i just dont understand what they mean when they say she fell through a gap between elevators? do they mean the elevator wasnt in the correct position when the doors opened? thus leaving a gap into the elevator shaft?

Maybe it's me being an old grump again but how the **** does a three year old do that without assistance?

I would cynically speculate that someone was letting her slide alongside the divider and it went Pete Tong.

If it was a genuine accident, they have my complete sympathy; either way, I hope the little one recovers and has a good life.
