threshold temps in riva tuner

hey i did post in the gfx section but not getting anything but it relates to this section too so here goes...

ive just installed riva tuner 2.09 and tried to set up the fan profiles, now ive created them but when it comes to the setup of the core temp theres no threshold box.... any ideas how to get this option back up?

there was a post about making it adjust the fan accordingly but i tried that and it did nothing....

also without having to disable uac or use tweak uac's silent mode is there any way to make vista remember that i allow this program to run?

Hmm, I aint sure as I dont have issues but I use the Real Admin Account and dont get issues with UAC.

Have you used this guide ?.

thanks ive just looked at that site its it's the same as the other guide i looked at....but i can do everything up to the thresholds stage... maybe i should uninstall and try again?

what ya mean real admin account? because im on the only profile i made :s something i missed?

You can install Vista as new then Activate the Real Admin Account (same as Admin Account you see in XP when booting to Safe Mode).

You then Delete the account you made to install Vista and rename the Admin Account to you Name.

Its ideally done at a clean install so you do not have any files/settings to loose.

UAC will be ON but will never bother you, the downside is IE Protection Mode will be OFF (although there is a way to get it back on but its a bit of a PIA) and its not really needed, just means it wont give you big on screen warnings if you choose to install a IE Plugin.

ahh dunno if i saw that option when i instaleld vista... humm..... but i still cant do the thresholds option

just tried to reinstall it, but when i do install it is says cannot find the 64bit driver or its not digitally signed..... could this be why? should i just go back and use the previous version i was using which worked?

I sorted it by creating scheduled tasks (once you've created a launcher) triggered by core temp. Read it all as it also explains how to schedule an overclock triggered by starting a 3d application.

NVM, you do not get that as a option during install Vista, MS dont want you on that Account for security reasons.
