What is proc throttle range support and what is the best setting mine is at
45%- 100%
dose it improve performance at diffrent range say 70%-100%

also the proc name comes up as a M23-JH Athlon 64 *2 K8Manchester/toledo
but here is what im lost on it also say 90nm 1.8GHz-2.8GHz 1.45v-1.55v dose this mean that the proc will do 2.8 on 1.55v.

Thanks
D

Throttling merely means the amount of speed the cpu will slow down by if a thermal event occurs that pushes it over its designed temperature limits or those set in the BIOS, dosen't have anything to do with performance, only there to protect the cpu. As for the other bit, i assume you're using Sisoft sandra? That only means that according to the program the various models of 90nm use 1.45-1.55v from 1.8Ghz to 2.8Ghz though this is incorrect as i can't remember any 90nm using over 1.4v

Is sandra giveing a wrong reading, as I am saying I have wrote excatly what it reported 1.55 is it risky putting that much on the cpu 4200+ dual DFI lanparty ultra D motherboard which are good for overclocking but I cant get more than 2.4 but I have not incresed the power its at 1.4 a the moe
sandra is also warning that it is to little.
It did report what I wrote, it seems a silly thing to lie about dont you think.

do you think it would be risky to put 1.55 to the proc,
Everest has given the same reading as sandra, balls I think I will slowly increase
the power and the fsb drop the multi from 11 down to 10 or 10.5 and see how much it will go. I know these DFI MB are excellent OC'ers but I have read that the 4200dual are not so good to OC
thanks for your help:)
Hope I dont kill my MB
if you do have any advice about OC my DFI that would be cool.

cheers
Dean

one last thing should I leave the throttle range as is or decrease it from 45%- 100% to say 30%- 80%
and am I better of leaving the mem setting on auto or enter them myself as Sandra has given me a list of the mem setting .
This board has so much to offer its impressive I don’t know where to start
