Like most people it seems, I'm preparing my PC for Battlefield 3.

I was looking at upgrading to a GTX560ti from a GTX260 and was just curious if the rest of my spec would be the limiting factor or throttle the 560 in anyway... or is it still a case of the GPU being the bottleneck when it comes to games at the moment?

PC Spec:
Q9450 @ 3.6ghz
8GB DDR2 @ 1080
Asus P5Q Pro
win7 64bit

Thanks for the reply. CPU is a Quad core. Noticed BC2 uses all 4 cores so assuming BF3 will do the same. Was hoping the CPU is good for a while longer yet as to change that obviously requires mobo, ram and a windows update too!

Ha! Was trying not to go with a higher end GPU again! So dont tempt me.

No, I think I have come to the conclusion that buying a mid range card to suit current games is a better choice. A high end card would work better obviously, but only at that time... as tech moves on a newer mid range card would out perform an older generation high end one...
