hi i have just built a system up specs are

Asus crosshair formula z 990fx
AMD 8150 @ stock
AMD r9 290
Samsung 840 Evo 250gb
NZXT KRAKEN X60 push pull Config
16GB Kingston Beast underclocked untill i get to configuring it
all voltages at bios stock

when i am running my system i get a voltage warning saying my CPU is hitting 1.75v and only one core hits 60 degrees and all the rest sit a 5 degrees is this a case of throttling if so what can cause it to hit high volts with no mods done in the bios

None of this sounds normal to me at all. 1.75v? you'd blow the rig sky high.

Try loading optimal defaults in the bios.

yeah its asus.

one of my rigs uses your exact mobo/cpu combo and use to have a 290x paired with it.

Should never throttle unless CPU temps are too high, as these VRMs can take a beating.

Also the 8150 temp readings should all be exactly the same as each other. If one is reporting different, likely the readings are off. There is only one temperature readout for all cores, so programs like core temp should report the same temperature for each core.

cheers mate my dad formatted his system and i walked him through bios settings and all seems fine for now i will get him to reseat the heatsink as well just to make sure it is ok. i am going down to his on the 11th as well so i will double check everything as well to make sure all is configured properly
