So I bought one of these a while ago 2nd hand to get into sim racing along with a wheel and some peals recently on MM but I can't get the thing to connect.

It's detected in Windows and by the Thustmaster software but not in game, the xbox symbol light does not light up and I'm not sure what's going on. Can someone please help?

Yeah I've done all that, tried Dirt 3 and Project cars 2. I've seen a vid suggesting it's the breakaway cable acting up but I'm using one that works on another set no problem. It's not staying lit up on the right and not showing as controller connected on the little xbox button. Have just ordered another break away just to rule that out but seems odd it's detected in windows but not in game.

In thrustmaster control panel when you steer does the axis move. Do you get ffb in the control panel there are demo effects you can click on.

No way to select the wheel in game, like I say it's not detecting it. I've set it all up connected it and it starts up spins itself etc and then nothing. Other than in the tm software. If I'm missing something let me know. I know the old TM Ferrari Italia wheel for the 360 I had was just plug and play

A user on Steam posted this ‘Steam was set up with 'Generic Gamepad Configuration Support' in controller settings. Disabling this fixed it.’

@danoliver1 As I say pal it's just not being detected by any games... Doesn't give me the option to change to it or do anything with it.

@pacegod The buttons on the servo itself don't appear to do anything at all, after the initial calibration the white light on the right goes out, the light on the left is either red or off.

It's odd because using all of the buttons in the TM software works fine even on the servo to initiate the demo effects. It's picking all the axis movement and button presses etc, so I don't understand why it's just not registering as a controller in games or staying lit up. I'd assume if it was just dead or the breakaway cable then TM software wouldn't be picking it up.

From the pc2 forum
"Steam was set up with 'Generic Gamepad Configuration Support' in controller settings. Disabling this fixed it."
might work?

I have a TS-PC, so not exactly the same wheel, but if in the Thrustmaster control panel I select "Advanced mode" at the bottom, some games do not detect the wheel. For example, Project Cars 2 and Automobilista 2 don't detect my wheel unless I choose "Normal mode" in the control panel, so make sure you don't have that selected.

Ive got a problem with my TX wheel working fine in Windows and Xbox but my pedals aren't detected.

Whilst I've been googling for a fix I did see that for your problem you should try resetting the Xbox usb ports. Apparently this might help mate
