Not sure if this is in the correct section, apologies if not.

I've just purchased a new system from OC and my Thrustmaster TX refuses to install correctly despite working fine on my old pc.

It will report as install correctly, i restart the computer etc etc, then when i try to use it there is a reasonably large amount of resistance on the wheel as if the force feedback is permanently engaged. If i then run the thrustmaster control panel the resistance will go away but it takes litterally 2-3mins from pressing properties to the control panel actually appearing on screen (shouldnt this be virtually instant as it is with my TH8A shifter?), this happens every single time i restart the computer.

At this point i can run Assetto Corsa and it will work but it just doesnt feel right, and dirt rally now will not even recognise the wheel at all.

a few other observations ive noticed are;
1. From start up it used to perform the calibration process once before i could use it on my old machine, on this machine it will run through the calibration process 3 times within about 5mins.
2. Just as windows loads all my usb devices lose power for a second, which causes it to run through another calibration process (i cannot remember this happening on my last machine)
3. It takes upto 5mins for the wheel to appear under the controllers control panel.

Ive upgraded the wheel firmware to the latest (v49) and have tried installing the drivers about 50 times now in both USB 2 & 3 ports.

Ive done some research and found some information about people having the same problem and solving it by disabling ECHI and XHCI in the Bios, ive tried this plus every combination of disabling one and enabling the other all to no avail.

Any help would be massively appreciated. ( & sorry for the long winded post)

Thanks

i solved it in the end, in the bios set up there was also a setting called xhci mode which also had to be disabled (was set to auto), it now recognises the wheel instantly. But DIRT rally still wouldnt recognise the wheel until id uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers about 5 times. Now it works every time.

Unfortunately mine has now developed a fault where it keeps disconnecting and taking the power to my keyboard with it too, really beginning to dislike this wheel now the build quality is shocking ive had more problems in the few months ive used this than i had in 5 years ownership of a g25
